About this deal

Vital Stats: Blend of three straight Bottled-in-Bond whiskeys – 60% Jack Daniel’s Tennessee rye, 20% Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey, 20% Jack Daniel’s American malt. The Jack Daniel Distillery has been making exceptional American whiskey to the highest standards for generations, before and after the Bottled in Bond Act, dating back to the days of Mr.

After distillation, Jack Daniel’s Bonded Tennessee Whiskey undergoes what is referred to as the ‘Lincoln County Process. What was once a company that was steadfast in their ways, has surprisingly done a lot of changing over the last few years. I have a been a fan of Jack Daniel’s for a long time, but I will admit that I am nowhere near squire-level fandom. On the nose: Warm vanilla and orange peel walk hand in hand in such synchronization that you cannot tell one from the other or what the two of them are creating together.

Aromatic with a surprising amount of fruit, the nose kicks off with apple and folds in caramel and some grittier, peppery spice. It seems obvious that such a popular whiskey brand would run the gamut with their signature flavor profile, especially one as distinct as Jack Daniel’s. The result is a whiskey that takes traditional Jack Daniel’s whiskey - and even the company - into new and exciting territory. Thinking outside the company’s typical conservative box, Jack Daniel’s new brand extension mixes up the company’s traditional flavor profile with a whiskey, rye, and malt blend that surprises on multiple fronts. Jack Daniel’s allows its whiskey to drip for six days in 10-foot vats, passing through charcoal that was made by burning maple wood that had been impregnated with 140 proof Jack Daniel’s whiskey, before being put in new charred oak barrels and aged for at least 4 years. The inclusion of malt is the biggest surprise here because who would have ever thought we’d see a Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Malt Whiskey? Despite being bottled at the same proof, the Triple Mash stands out with its enhanced body and bolder taste, all without sacrificing smoothness or becoming harsh.

What I will do is say that unlike most of what we’ve seen from JD in recent years, these are indeed permanent expressions, both bonded, so over 4 years old and bottled at 100 proof.Discover the differences between Jack Daniel’s Bonded vs Jack Daniel’s Triple Mash in this head-to-head comparison and decide which Whiskey is better for You! At times it can taste like a dill soup on the finish, but take in enough and rye spice dances gleefully.

There is a refinement and restraint in this 100 proof bottle that a “craft” distiller would shout about from the mountain tops and charge you double for. It’s spicier, however, with more pronounced cinnamon and clove notes and even a bit of nutmeg as a result of the higher rye component in the overall blend. The whiskey delivers a lengthier finish that pleasantly lingers, ensuring a satisfying experience from start to end, with no disappointments along the way.

It takes an already good, distinct tasting whiskey, and makes it better in every way without changing what it already is. More potent is the aroma’s winter spice foundation, of which props up the entire nose in a warming embrace. Soft with a more cereal-forward nose, it does indeed come across like a blend, a melding of various styles all in one glass. On the palate, it offers a decent texture, beginning with a prominent banana note, and transitioning to sweet corn, Cherry Coke-like flavor, and subtle pecan undertones. million equivalent cases in the form of RTD (ready-to-drink) and RTP (ready-to-pour) products and 4.
