The chapters are split into different characters, and whilst their voices aren’t very distinctive, it was interesting to gauge different points of view, whereas Kabler’s mysteries have a different vibe.I had read some cosy mysteries previously from Jackie Kabler, and enjoyed them, but this has really stepped up a gear and is a full blown psychological drama - it crept under my skin, and may continue to cling onto me for a while after finishing it. It does have a strong element of mental health in parts, which was portrayed excellently and sensitively. It started really good and I was hooked but then by the time all the affairs were getting revealed I rolled my eyes. They each seemed nice, polite and relatable but soon enough we find that something big has happened.
