The question is, how many of the extras and enhancements are worth paying for? Even within the Ecovacs range, the X1 Turbo is about twice as expensive as most of the other Deebots. It certainly belongs in our list of the best robot vaccum cleaners. It's impossible to compare the products directly until we've had the T20 Omni in for review. But we have reviewed its predecessor, the Deebot X1 Turbo, and the T20 Omni has 6,000Pa compared to the X1's 5,000. We said that model had "unbeatable vacuum prowess" and very impressive automatic suction power adjustment; navigation and object detection was pretty good if not perfect; and it was one of the very first dual-purpose vacuum and mops to do the mopping bit well: "the mopping attachments rotate quite fast to replicate a scrubbing motion rather than just wetting and wiping the floor as previous Ecovacs models (and other competitors) have done." The new T20 Omni has the same approach, so it should cope equally well with both wet spills and dried-on stains. And it's cheaper. The X1 Plus has an air freshener built-in in the water tank. The X1 OMNI has a silver ion water sterilization (optional in the X1 Turbo model).

The X1 Omni's carpet sensor also works well. When vacuuming, you can hear its suction power increase as soon as it moves over a carpet. When mopping, it simultaneously vacuums but automatically avoids area rugs and rooms with carpeting.For comparison, the S7 MaxV Ultra has a unique mop-lifting feature that automatically raises the mopping plate about 5mm when it detects carpeting, a feature not available on the X1 Omni. The Ecovacs Deebot X1 OMNI has the most advanced universal base that emptyies the robot's dustbin, refills the water tank, washing the mopping pads and drying the them after mopping. The base has two 4L large water containers for clean and dirty water. There is also a 2.5L disposable dust bag which holds dust up to 60 days.
