About this deal

Joe says: "I’m super excited that this book encourages people to socialise with their loved ones whilst staying lean.

The message with children always has to be: “Do your best. If you can’t do it perfectly, have a try.” Don’t judge yourself. Don’t compare yourself. Nothing brings you more into the moment than freezing water

I found it very easy to navigate my way through the book. The recipes are easy to follow, with clear cooking instructions, and I really appreciate the accompanying photographs and illustrations so that I can see what the end result should look like. The family photographs are beautiful and add a colourful, personal and cosy feel to the book. I also thought they were entertaining and they made me smile. Going out on my motorbike (a Triumph Bobber). Or taking the kids to Richmond Park or Virginia Water Lake. My garden is a little sanctuary. I’ve got an ice machine, a metal bath I fill from the hose and then I throw in lots of ice. I’ll lie in there for four or five minutes and it’s amazing. Nothing brings you more into the moment than freezing water. The questions I get asked most often by my followers is: 'How can I stay lean and still go out, go to a party, hang out with friends?' So I’ve developed over 100 recipes that prove you can eat delicious food, impress your mates and stay lean at the same time".

Remove the tray and scatter over the red onion, chorizo and sprigs of thyme. Roast for a further 15 minutes. The Celebrations recipes are unusual. They seem more in keeping with middle-class party food, courgette fries, marmite & spring onion straws or avocado mint choc chip ice cream. There are days when it wears me down, not so much my posts as messages from people who are struggling. I try to reply. I’m constantly giving out energy. But I can put my phone away. The first few hours I’ll miss it, but as each hour passes I feel lighter: I’m not in demand, no one can reach me… it’s a nice feeling. Let’s face it, breakfast tends to be the most rushed and least inspired meal of the day (mainly due to most of us being time-poor and over-tired). In fact, according to a recent YouGov study, fewer than half (49 per cent) of us actually eat breakfast seven days a week – with 13 per cent skipping it every day. Filled with swaps to cater to all tastes and ideas for involving the kids when you’re cooking, this flexible cookbook will soon become your family favourite.

Joe says: "This is one of those meals that is well worth the wait. It tastes incredible and everything gets thrown in the same tray." After one hour, when you are happy that the lamb is tender, stir in the cauliflower florets and lentils, and add a little more water if necessary. Simmer the curry uncovered for 25 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender.

The Workout Badges will be available on The Body Coach TV YouTube channel and on the YouTube Kids app, starting 22 September It's got some delicious recipes which I am excited to try but it definitely loses points on being accessible and on being a cookbook I'll refer to frequently. Each recipe is specially designed to please every family member, leaving you all feeling healthy, happy and satisfied. I had a really unhealthy diet. My mum had me at 19 and didn’t know how to cook. Junk food was all she knew. She used to go to Iceland where there were lots of buy-one-get-one-free offers. I got into cooking at university. I’m still very greedy. I love chocolate and ice-cream. I eat way more than any average person, but because I exercise five to six days a week I get away with it. Joe says: "Gnocchi is becoming my new favourite carb source. I can’t work out if it’s a potato or a pasta but I don’t care because it tastes so good. The kids and adults will all enjoy this one."Tip the drained gnocchi and kale into the pan and gently stir everything together. Tip the mixture into a baking dish, sprinkle the breadcrumbs all over the top and then slide it into the oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until the breadcrumbs are golden. He’s won legions of fans with his philosophy 'eat more, exercise less', and even more new followers with his live PE lessons, but did you know he also does cookbooks? Melt the coconut oil in a large saucepan over a medium to high heat. Add the onions and stir for 4 mins until soft. Stir in the garlic and ginger puree and fry for another minute. Then pour the spicy paste in and 50ml of water. Stir-fry for 2 mins, adding another splash of water if necessary. Whilst it's good to get the children involved in food preparation and cooking from a young age and this book sets out to do this, it's not quite as family-friendly as I'd hoped it could be. Like I said at the beginning the ingredients are too adult, though I do think my family would enjoy the Super-simple Rosemary Lamb Stew. With thanks to NetGalley and Pan Macmillan Bluebird for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

These are all recipes that can be easily reproduced and adapted for busy lifestyles and I will definitely be trying some - the beetroot and chocolate cake in particular!Weekday breakfasts can be a bit of a myth when you've snoozed your alarm and have a Zoom call in ten minutes. I used to, but now I think more about the mental health crisis. I used to focus on physical transformation – leanness, body shape. But during the pandemic I realised that it’s with mental health that people need help and motivation. Without a healthy mindset and the energy you get from exercise, life feels a lot harder. If you look at exercise from a mental health perspective, the body will follow.
