About this deal

But instead of going to bed like a normal person, my brain was so full of serotonin that I couldn't help but stayed awake and replay the story in my head for hours! Featuring all of my favorite tropes, including age gap romance, this book had me hooked from page one. MacLast year, I only wanted three things out of a good time, a date with Wonder Woman, and a shot at playing and singing in the same Superbowl.

Luckily for me, fake dating with friends-to-lovers is right up my alley, and this is a glorious read in that regard.

That pining was well written while also making me want to hold their faces together and force them to cross those lines, and I thought they could have been honest with each other earlier. I have been in such a bad reading slump but I finished this book in one day because of how amazing it was. however, the romance felt all over the place mostly because the alternating past/present chapters was distracting for me, and i simply couldnt keep the timeline straight in my head.

Farley and Meyer have been friends for a few years ever since Farley ran into Meyer at his daughter's birthday party. im glad they didnt blow it out of proportion and was able to sort it out like the mature, adult they were. If you are an international reader looking for a diverse author and a completely different story telling technique, this one is worth it. FF follows Farley (Fee) an up and coming comedienne, to take the next step in her career a suggestion is made that she might “fake date” her manager Meyer who had his own comedic success at an earlier age but leans more into writing now as he balances working with being a single dad to his deaf daughter Hazel (totes book MVP btw she is legit the best! I was going to have to learn to wear those feelings proudly without doing damage to the things or people I love, that I’d only hurt myself in the process if I did. As 2022 comes to a close, I’m celebrating my 20 favorite romance novels of the year, and that list includes Funny Feelings, a humorous and heartfelt friends to lovers romance by new-to-me author Tarah DeWitt. Tarah Dewitt is not afraid to peel her characters' every layer to unravel their insecurities, their fears, but also their big hearts! Readers who enjoyed Funny Feelings by Tarah Dewitt also liked the following books featuring the same tropes, story themes, relationship dynamics and character types. I have the biggest smile on my face… I absolutely fell in love with this book from the very first page.

Tarah DeWitt’s Funny Feelings is a charming romance novel that reignited my love for the single-dad trope. Although it shifted abruptly from fake to real dating, it makes sense since both of them were hesitant to make the first move from the start. Overall, Funny Feelings is an enjoyable and heartwarming read that delivers on the promise of a sweet romance. The MC is bent over with her legs crossed tightly around each other, presumably so she doesn’t piddle. The dynamics between Farley and Meyer are low-stakes but blissful, making it a perfect read for romance lovers.Judging by the blank look on his face, their mind-blowing night didn’t register as a blip on Arlo's radar. He’d been featured on a TV special that showcased a great group of up-and-coming comedians and had even opened for some huge names. The quiet girl with the rainbow hair refuses to let me suffer alone, and I’m starting to think losing everything is worth finding her. There’s a stunning mosaic of emotions scattered throughout the book that makes it feel so real because the characters feel so natural.
