Bishi Bashi could be thought of as a video game equivalent of a Variety Show, with the games finding humour in (mainly) Japanese culture, including parodies of other games and TV shows - or just by being plain weird. Unlike Nintendo’s Mario Party or WarioWare, the minigames of Bishi Bashi tend to be unrelated to each other, lacking any consistent characters or storylines. Bishi Bashi is a game that I like because it's a prime example of how graphics mean nothing, it's gameplay that matters and I think anyone who's played Bishi Bashi will see what I mean.

A few games is nothing but button bashing as you press any button as hard or as fast as you can and a driving game requires just a press of left and right to dodge the other cars (there are no corners to turn) but this doesn't affect anything for the truth is that Bishi Bashi is the perfect party game - end of story. Unlike the arcade game, the ported minigames do not always use the red, green and blue buttons of the PlayStation joypad; "button bashing" minigames allow the player to use the analog sticks or the shoulder buttons as well as the regular buttons. Arcade-Perfect Port: The console ports are generally very faithful to the arcade originals, aided by the relatively simple 2D graphics. When more accurate information or covers are obtained, the entry will be updated adding the missing covers and the missing information.

The game is a compilation of mini games, some are loosely based around arcade classics such as Breakout ("Car Destroyer) and Pac-Man ("Super Gulper"). However, despite gaining a warm critical reception and something of a cult following, the series hasn’t seen an official release in the west since that. Additionally, in the early 2000s some minigames were released for PC on a subscription-based service. We regularly need to rotate arcades in to and out of service to keep them in good condition and extend their lives. Appeared in the PlayStation engulfed in the whirlpool of excitement and enthusiasm and incandescent Game Center, "Bishi Bashi Champ" and "Super Bishi Bashi" handle "Champ" that has become one!

The★BishiBashi adds a small yellow button (start button), used in most mini-games to finish the mini-game before time runs out or to score additional points. Participation can be three simultaneous, up to eight people in multi-player mode supports multi-tap! is very much like the first DanceDanceRevolution, but with the player avatars actually playing the said game. Salaryman Champ: Tatakau Salaryman was released in 2001 in Japan only (developed and released by Success). All games in the series comprise playing through a wide variety of competitive minigames against other players. After a few sequels, the first three titles were combined and ported to PlayStation under the title Bishi Bashi Special in 1998, with a sequel combining further two arcade releases following in the next year. The arcade game controls are very simple; each player has a red, green and blue button, positioned left, centre and right respectively. A European edition titled Bishi Bashi Special was released in 2000 and compiles Bishi Bashi Special 1 and 2 on one disc, retitled Super Bishi Bashi and Hyper Bishi Bashi. Some of the minigames from the arcade games have been ported to the Sony PlayStation and released under the name Bishi Bashi Special (ビシバシスペシャル).

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Minigame Game: The main defining feature of the series is that all releases are made of multiple minigames. Party Game: The games are simple and primarily meant to be played against other players, with some machines allowing up to 4 players at the same time. is set to a relaxing background music with the players blowing up fireworks and the game's credits scrolling at the bottom of the screen. While a couple of the early arcade machines received international releases, in the west the series is perhaps best known for the expanded re-release Bishi Bashi Special, released in 2000 for PlayStation. The new rotating buttons, as well as the cabinet's stand BishiBashi Channel offers originate from MÚSECA cabinets, another video game developed by Konami and developed for arcades, though not many remain today as a result of many MÚSECA cabinets being converted to BishiBashi Channel cabinets following the game's discontinuation. Light and Pastel from the TwinBee series are unlockable characters via the use of an E-Amusement pass.

As is often the case with minigames, Bishi Bashi features very simple controls and easy-to-grasp gameplay mechanics. For The★BishiBashi, the Gachaga Champ protagonists were brought back as selectable characters, in addition to a host of other characters that had previously appeared in individual minigames. is a parody of the genre, with a mishmash of enemy designs and visuals placing it into Cute 'em Up territory. The game features a variety of minigames, as well as a good range of selectable characters, some of them coming from some famous Konami series such as the TwinBee, Dance Dance Revolution, Pop'n music and even Castlevania and Silent Hill series.
