Everyone has different preferences and thresholds for power and speed, but some of the massage guns we test are so lacking that our testers feel they lack effectiveness, even on the highest settings.

During our first few uses, we noticed lubricant leaking out of the attachment point (we experienced this with only one other device, the cheapest model in our test pool). As for battery life you shouldn’t worry about that since with a single charge, I was able to use the Mebak 3 for over 4 hours and since this isn’t something you can use all day long for me 4 hours equals to at least two weeks of use. If there is no lift, the courier will charge for labour depending on access, item and number of floors. I’ve been using all of these massage guns and therapy devices on my own muscles, pressing them into sore tissue to get ready for races and stowing them in my bag to prevent cramped hammies afterward. This treatment involves hands-on techniques that increase circulation, relieve tension, reduce stress, and promote relaxation.

I suffer from arthritis in my hips and always get tension headaches because my neck and shoulders are tight. Battery life is more than adequate from 2-3 hours massage use on a single charge (depending on the massage intensity you use). Use it pre-run to stimulate muscle activation and potentially improve power, and post-run to improve recovery and reduce DOMS. The Hyperice Hypervolt 2 costs about the same as Therabody’s Theragun Prime (the original Hypervolt introduced in 2018 is discontinued). You don’t need to spend too much time on any individual muscle group, but it will allow you to cover more of your body quickly. Similarly, the battery level is shown on the right of the screen by a blue vertical line, which decreases as the battery is used up. The M3 Pro has five speeds and six attachments, so it’s good for light recovery or for pressurized, targeted muscle relief. While battery life isn’t necessarily the end-all-be-all when comparing massage guns, it’s worth noting the battery life against all other specs to find the one that suits your intended use.

But overall, due to the shape and orientation of its handle, it doesn’t offer quite the flexibility that the Theragun Prime does. Overall, I have nothing bad to say about the Mebak 3, yes, my experience with percussion massage guns is still somewhat limited (I only have 3 more models here to test and compare) but I can say with certainty that it did help with my muscle pains and at the end of the day isn’t that what matters? The more options available, the more likely you will find a setting and head that works well for you. For large and bulky items, many of our courier partners will bring the item to your premises on upper floors if there is a working lift. If you want an advanced version of the Prime, the more-expensive Theragun Elite has an extra attachment and an OLED display.
