Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I also carry a red liner for evening – usually NARS ‘Juan-Les-Pins’, which is the perfect orangey red.I never fail to hear her voice narrating to me in my head while I read, such is her distinctive style of writing. Was lucky to go and hear Sali Hughes' wise words in person (in possibly the best-coiffed, most fragrant talk I've been to). and lists the thirty-seven foodstuffs that she considers essential to have in your kitchen cupboard. It starts off as a series of money saving tips for the affluent - how to repurpose Diptyque candle jars,, how to source vintage furniture, how to open champagne, how to hire a cleaner. Often the only moisturisers that work on very dry skin like mine are the thick, medical or expensive ones.

I also love the personable way in which the book is written - Sali's approach feels direct, genuine and with a sharp sense of humour. Those who enjoy Sali's writing are no doubt of an age where they have learned 99% of what is included in this book already. I also never heard either of my parents talk negatively or otherwise about how they looked, which I think gives you a good grounding because then beauty becomes a fun, life-enhancing thing and not a battle you're trying to win. That’s why I spent two years creating my own skincare line – my friends were telling me they were confused by modern skincare. Maybe if you are very interested in Sali Hughes the media personality you will like this book (much like I enjoyed Whisky in a Teacup, mainly because of its appeal as Reese Witherspoon merch).

I have to be because I have ichthyosis, whereby my cell turnover is extremely rapid and results in dry, flaky skin that can become sore. I've found it really hard to put down, much like Sali's previous books, as it's so comforting, honest and I've learned tips for things I didn't even know I needed tips for. Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook).I took a photo of the boxes, sent the picture to my friend [Beauty Banks co-founder] Jo Jones and said "this is crazy - we know loads of people with tonnes of product.

Although the concept of the book may seem rigid, Hughes dispenses her advice with humour, and switches between the seemingly inconsequential to the big topics with ease. I've read so many books like this over the years but I am yet to find one that gives any helpful or useful advice or insight . The myriad of topics in this book is just fabulous - something for everyone and the tales she tells of family estrangement, being a night owl, maintenance sex and fiercely protecting her kids all strike a personal chord with me. But this book gets even worse as the author dispenses "advice" on abortions , breastfeeding and depression which is inappropriate and she is totally unqualified to do so.Deliveries to destinations outside Australia are made by DHL courier, and cannot be made to post office boxes.
